About Le Colonial
This new addition to the "non-hotels" managed by the Neemrana group is possibly their most luxurious one. Undoubtedly, it is India's oldest colonial house and has had a long and exciting history of ownership from the Dutch Government to being personal home of a major tea trader.
Today, the old house is one of the best remaining examples of colonial architecture with its deep verandahs and low eves. Le Colonial is a veritable living museum, with painstakingly collected colonial lithographs and paintings. The well travelled guest will recognize it as a smaller version of the Imperial in Delhi.
The rooms are regal in their appointments - wooden polished floors, high ceilings, amazing art and luxurious bathrooms in hand-polished wood and brass. Everything speaks of luxury dating from an era of late breakfasts, long siestas and decadent pampering. Spending some time at Le Colonial is to be part of an ultra select house party.
